Candice Thornburg, an Arkansas mother, recently shared a post on Facebook describing the situation that began after a family outing following their daughter’s softball game.

The family went out to eat Chinese food, including Candice, her current husband, her ex-husband, her ex-husband’s current wife, and their three daughters.

During the meal, two adults sitting nearby were reportedly using loud and offensive language, including repeated use of the F word.

The family attempted to continue their meal without interruption, but the language from the nearby adults made it difficult for the children to eat in a safe and respectful environment.

Candice, in her post, stated that she and the others politely asked the adults to lower their volume and refrain from using such words around the children.

According to her account, the adults responded with insults, calling the children derogatory names, which escalated the situation.

Her ex-husband, acting in defense of the children, became upset during the confrontation.

Candice emphasizes that while he reacted emotionally, he is not violent and has a history of being a protective and responsible parent.

She noted that they have family dinners together regularly with multiple adults present, highlighting the stability and safety of their family environment.

The incident was recorded by one of the adults involved and later shared online.

Candice states that the video has been misrepresented and used to spread false claims.

These claims include assertions that her ex-husband was arrested, followed the woman, or endangered a child with a gun.

Additionally, the person who posted the video reportedly contacted the family’s workplaces, filed false reports with the Department of Human Services (DHS), and tagged locations to further harass the family.

Candice confirmed that all DHS reports were investigated and dismissed.

Candice’s post also points out that the person sharing the video has allegedly used social media for personal gain and “clout,” despite promoting content involving guns and escort work under various identities.

In her posts, Candice has also revealed one of the users’ identities, who has been using this incident on TikTok again, making things worse.

She expressed frustration that false claims about her family, particularly claims involving children, are being used to gain attention and online recognition.

Furthermore, she stressed the emotional impact on her children, noting that real domestic violence and child abuse exist, and such false claims trivialize serious issues.

Throughout her post, Candice affirmed that her family is committed to co-parenting and providing a safe environment for their children.

She also urged the public to report any posts containing false information about her family and to recognize that the claims circulating online are untrue.
