He excelled as a senior at Conant High School, earning recognition for his athletic prowess.

The late David Balachowski was a skilled student-athlete at Conant High School, where he competed in track and field.

Specializing in sprints and high jump, he achieved a 5'6" high jump during the 2026 season—among the top marks on his team—and secured 7th place (5'4.25") at the MSL West Division Boys Championship on April 22, 2026, showcasing his dedication amid fierce regional rivalries.

Throughout the season, David competed in 100m, 200m, 400m, and relays, including a 1:36.71 finish in the 4x200m relay at the Mid-Suburban League Championship.
