Dr. Markus Mosley, cherished son of Garner, North Carolina, and former collegiate athlete, tragically passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2026, at just 29 years old.

After completing his advanced studies, Dr. Mosley began his General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, with aspirations toward specializing in orthodontics before his sudden passing.
Before entering dentistry, Markus achieved widespread recognition for his outstanding achievements in high school and collegiate track and field.

Born February 5, 1996, in Washington, D.C., to parents Theotric White and Lisa Mosley Bryant, Markus displayed athletic promise early, competing across several disciplines.
At Garner Magnet High School, he distinguished himself as a top student-athlete, participating in both track and football for the varsity squad.
As a senior, he improved his hurdling time dramatically, nearly six seconds faster over the season. He also starred as a defensive safety, helping lead his football team to the 4A state championship during his sophomore year.
His senior season featured 58 tackles and leadership on defense, while his ECU career included strong performances such as a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash at the Dick Taylor Carolina Cup (24.22 seconds) and top finishes in hurdle and sprint events.
Markus Mosley’s legacy as a community pillar—both on the track and in the dental profession—will never be forgotten.
Beyond his parents, Markus is survived by his stepfather Jemel Bryant, siblings McKenzie, Whitley, Theo, and Travis, along with extended family and countless friends awaiting details about upcoming memorial arrangements.
