The LeTourneau University community and East Texas soccer world mourn the sudden loss of freshman forward Henry Shore.
The 18-year-old native of Longview passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his parents, twin brother, sister, and numerous friends and teammates who cherished him deeply.

His father, Kenneth, who runs SHOCO Production, LLC, often shared proud updates about Henry's achievements on his Facebook page.
Henry grew up alongside twin brother Philip and sister Eva Grace, with family always being his greatest source of strength.
From his early days at Longview High School through his time at St. Stephen's Episcopal School, Henry's passion for soccer was evident from the start.
This fall, he enrolled at LeTourneau University as a construction management major, quickly emerging as a standout athlete on the men's soccer team.
During his inaugural college season in 2026, Henry's exceptional performance earned him All-SCAC First Team honors, recognition on the All-Freshman Team, and a spot among the conference leaders with eight goals and eighteen total points.
His remarkable scoring record included a hat trick against St. Thomas and a weekly achievement of four goals in a single week.
Teammates and rivals alike admired Henry's infectious enthusiasm, relentless dedication, and uncanny ability to make game-changing appearances.

Kenneth Shore shared the devastating announcement on social media:
“Our precious Henry is gone. Viewings begin Friday at 1pm at First United Methodist Church in downtown Longview, followed by a service at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday. Please keep Phillip and Eva Grace in your prayers.”
