Nancy E. (Ansbigian) Naroian, cherished by community and Anna Maria College, departed September 23, 2026 at 81.
Her absence creates a profound gap among those who knew her as a devoted spouse, family member, church volunteer, and steadfast athletics supporter.
Nancy’s existence reflected quiet resilience, boundless empathy, and unwavering devotion to others, leaving indelible marks across countless lives.
Nancy NaroianBorn August 23, 1944, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Nancy was daughter of Harry and Nina (Belezarian) Ansbigian.
Raised locally, she attended North High School and Worcester Junior College.
Faith anchored her early years; she joined the Armenian Church of Our Saviour in Worcester, teaching Sunday school and engaging with ACYOA during adolescence.
Church remained central to her identity, fueling purpose and opportunities for service.
Professionally, Nancy dedicated over two decades to Anna Maria College’s Athletic Department, retiring May 23, 2008.
Supporting three athletic directors, she viewed them as extended family, embodying warmth toward coaches, staff, and athletes alike.
Known as the department’s backbone, Nancy handled policy implementation, game promotion, uniform care, and student counseling.
Her selfless actions mirrored institutional values, ensuring every individual felt acknowledged and uplifted.
Recognition came in 2026 with her induction into the Anna Maria College Athletics Hall of Fame, celebrated as an unsung hero who strengthened foundational growth.
Passionate AMCAT supporter, Nancy cheered “Go Blue!” passionately, nurturing student-athletes like her own.
Post-retirement, her influence endured through the Nancy Naroian Award honoring behind-the-scenes contributions.
March 2026 brought celebration at an event attended by 80+ loved ones.
Nancy cherished sports fervently, supporting Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots
Family brought immense joy; 57-year marriage to Peter H. Naroian defined her life.
Predeceased by sons Matthew (1988) and Jonathan (1995), grief remained unhealed yet honored.
Survivors include brother David Ansbigian, nephews Brian and Darren Ansbigian, great-niece Sanya Rose, friend Susanne Avakian, plus numerous relatives and friends.
Everyone adored Nancy; her listening skills and cheerfulness uplifted all she met.
