Billy Ray Sneed, a devoted TANSU Self Defense instructor and lifelong educator, tragically passed away, leaving his family and community in mourning.
Though the circumstances of his death are uncertain, his absence has created an immense gap in the hearts of those who knew him.
Billy Ray Sneed: A Proud TANSU Educator
, hailing from Oxford, Mississippi, he was a passionate teacher and martial artist whose recent departure has deeply affected the TANSU network and beyond.
A graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High and Junior College, he advanced his education with master's studies in Education Technology at Nova Southeastern University.
He contributed as an educator with the State of Mississippi and served within Lee County Schools.
In addition to his career, Billy Ray was a black belt, mentor to adult students, and cherished instructor for children’s classes.
He championed TANSU Self Defense programs and remained steadfast in his teaching commitment.
Billy Sneed's untimely death has left his loved ones and community devastated.
Family, students, and martial arts peers have shared heartfelt remembrances, calling him one of a kind.

Survived by daughter Anna Seale and the Sneed family, Billy Ray is remembered as the son of Dr. Billy Ray Sneed Sr. and Arah Francis Hudson Sneed.
