Coach Todd J Weaver (TJ Weaver), a cherished mentor and athletic icon, departed this world on June 27.

From his days as a standout student-athlete, excelling in baseball, football, and basketball, to earning first-team All-District honors across two sports, his journey was marked by excellence. Though offered a football scholarship and a prestigious military academy nomination, he chose to pursue his passion at Belhaven University, where he became an All-Conference catcher during his final two seasons.

Before entering education, Weaver dedicated 18 years to music, performing as a recording artist with RCA Nashville and headlining shows in Las Vegas. His transition to teaching was driven by a desire to shape young minds beyond the field.

Family And Friends Grieve The Loss Of A True Mentor

Andrew Soloman shared heartfelt memories, stating, "He left this world far too soon." His words captured Weaver's selfless spirit—always offering time, knowledge, and support without reservation. A personal tribute highlighted Weaver's generosity: "If everyone emulated his kindness, our world would thrive. He gave unconditionally, making each moment count for those around him."

My dear friend, TJ Weaver, has left us prematurely... His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched. A true pillar of community, his absence leaves a void filled only by memories of his warmth and dedication. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Marco Rangel recalled Weaver's unwavering commitment to youth, noting his backyard baseball facility—a sanctuary where kids learned, grew, and thrived. Their partnership in creating a fall baseball program for football athletes showcased Weaver's belief in holistic development. "He was a proud father to Lil TJ," Marco reflected, emphasizing how Weaver balanced family love with professional excellence.

A fan's message resonated deeply: "Coach TJ’s presence transformed lives. His backyard was always open, his heart always full. He taught me more than baseball—he taught me to lead with integrity. My gratitude for his mentorship is immeasurable."

Residing in Pearland, Texas, with wife Annika Starander Weaver, Coach Weaver’s final years were defined by teaching and coaching. He led multiple schools in academics and athletics, including his last role at Almeta Crawford Middle School, where he prepared to expand his impact into tennis and golf for 2026-25. His passing leaves a legacy of dedication that will inspire generations.

Survived by family, friends, and students, his memory remains a testament to the power of service and love.
