Amber Brunswig Was An Accomplished Softball Coach For Over Two Decades!

Affectionately known as Coach B or Bunsy, Amber Taylor Brunswig established a distinguished legacy in softball as both an athlete and mentor.

A native of Ark City, Kansas, she excelled as a high school pitcher, guiding her team to multiple state tournaments and securing a championship in 1996.

Her collegiate journey began at Wichita State University, though an injury prematurely ended her playing career. Undeterred, she completed her degree in 2001.

Coaching commenced in 2003 at Newton High School, where she served for six seasons alongside teaching responsibilities.

After prioritizing family, she resumed coaching in 2018 at Eisenhower High School, achieving an impressive 114-61 record over nine seasons.

Her teams claimed two league championships, four regional titles, and four state tournament appearances, including two third-place finishes and one runner-up position.

Recognized as AVCTL Co-Coach of the Year in both 2026 and 2026, she celebrated her 100th coaching victory in May 2026.

Brunswig's departure has deeply affected the Eisenhower community. Former players and colleagues describe her as a pillar in countless lives, offering strength and guidance.
