Tommy Jahn shared a touching tribute on his Facebook page regarding his granddaughter Jasmyn Lorey's passing on October 24, 2026. He conveyed profound grief and emphasized the necessity of compassion among young people.

He requested Jasper High School to organize an awareness event highlighting how bullying profoundly impacts vulnerable adolescents, regardless of gender.

Family and Friends Grieve Deeply Over Loss of Jasmyn Lorey

Born November 11, 2008, Jasmyn was one of Tommy’s five treasured grandchildren. She departed peacefully on October 24, 2026, at sixteen years old.

Her grandfather fondly remembered her as someone needing gentle encouragement daily.

He sought prayers for Jasmyn’s bereaved family—Mother Jayme Lynn, Father Adam, Sister Jalynn, and Brother Julian.

With immense sorrow, he noted Jasmyn would become the symbolic Head Cheerleader for Heaven’s squad.

He also mentioned she will rest beside great-grandfather Victor Jahn, who died in 1973—the same year Tommy finished high school.

His emotional words resonate deeply:

"We lost our precious child! She deserved divine comfort. Pray for us; life feels empty without her. She was radiant, wise beyond her years, and brought light wherever she went. Darkness surrounds us now, yet we honor her legacy. Her love for animals mirrored her gentle spirit. Some souls simply cannot endure this world’s harshness. I feel her presence still. She remains my dearest companion."

Community members have offered heartfelt support:

"Tom and family, words cannot ease your pain! We mourn Jasmyn’s loss deeply. God watches over her now until reunion. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all."

"Jasper schools neglect critical anti-bullying measures. Administrators prioritize reputation over student wellbeing—this must change."

Jasmyn’s legacy lives on through charitable fundraising exceeding $13,000 toward a $16,000 goal, plus memorial merchandise sales.

A special Celebration of Life will occur October 29, 2026, uniting remembrance of Jasmyn, her cousin Keira Jahn’s birthday, and grandmother Victoria Jahn.

Our deepest sympathies extend to those grieving.

Rest in Peace, Beloved Spirit!
