Per official reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the tragic event unfolded around 4 PM when Jean-Baptiste's Kia Sedan veered off course on US-27.
While making a left turn onto Blue Heron Boulevard, his vehicle collided with a northbound Tesla Model 3 operated by a 26-year-old man from Haines City.
Tragically, Jean-Baptiste sustained critical injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Tesla driver suffered minor injuries and received medical attention nearby.
