A 13‑year-old soccer player from Santa Clarita, California, Bryan Ceja, tragically lost his life in a sudden freeway collision, leaving behind his grieving parents, notably his mother Aracely.

Bryan was confirmed as one of the fatalities in the Southern California highway disaster by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.

The fatal incident occurred on Sunday evening, December 14, 2026, along the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway near Sunland Boulevard in Shadow Hills.

Though Bryan was declared deceased at the scene, five others—including his uncle and mother—managed to survive the crash.
