Brian Boog Greenway, lovingly called Boog, departed on September 28, leaving a tremendous absence within his family, peers, and Dudley’s community.

His daughter, Emily Greenway, conveyed the heartache of losing such a cherished figure while reflecting on his lifelong devotion.

Struggling with interstitial lung disease and COPD, Boog had been contemplating a lung transplant when his condition worsened.

During his final days, he remained on a ventilator, deeply sedated to ease his breathing.

Emily recounted attempts to create joyful moments—playing favorite tunes, sharing lighthearted jokes, and offering comforting presence.

“He was stubborn, a fighter, and still a pain in the ass in the best way" Emily noted, expressing gratitude for the unwavering support from loved ones.

Community members also mourned his passing.

Caitlyn Crowe remembered Boog as a guiding force—a mentor, coach, and “second dad”—whose energy shaped many lives. She shared:

“The Dudley community has lost one of the best men out there! So many stories to tell… We love you so much, Boog.”

Beyond personal connections, Boog inspired countless athletes through his coaching philosophy, encouraging people to “get on your horse.”

His infectious laughter and enduring warmth left indelible marks on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Emily concluded her tribute with a moving acknowledgment of her father’s irreplaceable presence:

“The world feels emptier without his laughter, his vitality, or his constant affection. We assured him of our love until the very end, and we will carry that love forward. I will miss my daddy always.”

Brian Boog Greenway’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he enriched, embodying resilience, compassion, and unwavering spirit.
