Ed Crook, DHHS Class of '66, has departed from us.

The cherished educator and former athlete succumbed to complications from pneumonia alongside other health challenges.

Survived by devoted spouse Donna Crook and daughters Marybeth and Emmy, his legacy endures through memories of compassion and dedication.

Colleagues and students remember him not only for his professional achievements but for the warmth and integrity he brought to every role he held.

Marc Tozer shared, "Ed was like a second father to me, welcoming me into the family 25 years ago. Our hearts are heavy, yet we hold dear his memory."

Beyond coaching, Ed's lifelong passion for the Georgia Bulldogs fueled his enthusiasm for mentoring young athletes.

Holding degrees from the University of Georgia, he remained a steadfast supporter of the football program for decades.
