The communities of Natrona Heights, PA, and Dublin, Ohio, mourn the loss of former local hero Eli J. Swierczewski.

At just 24 years old, Eli Swierczewski succumbed to a relentless battle with a rare form of pediatric bone cancer initially detected in 2014 when he was 12.

Eli endured over a year of intensive chemotherapy, numerous invasive surgeries, and radiation therapy to combat the disease.

His resilience was evident as he reconstructed his arm using tissue from his knee, enabling him to continue participating in sports despite permanent scars and physical challenges.

When cancer resurfaced in 2019, Eli faced another grueling round of treatment, yet maintained an unwavering spirit supported by his family and friends.

His legacy lives on through the inspiration he provided to teammates, classmates, and anyone facing adversity.

Eli’s sudden passing has deeply affected those closest to him, leaving a void in the hearts of many.

Born November 16, 2001, in Natrona Heights, Eli grew up surrounded by love from his parents Brian and Pamela, and cherished memories with siblings and extended family.

Known for his athletic prowess and tenacity, Eli excelled in baseball, basketball, and soccer during his high school years, earning admiration across the region.

After graduation, he pursued a career in mechanical engineering, quickly making significant contributions as a design engineer at Honda in Ohio.

Beyond sports and engineering, Eli enjoyed golf, cars, and outdoor adventures—especially his iconic 1994 Miata named Moose.

Though his professional journey was cut short, Eli’s dedication and achievements will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his immediate family, including his fiancée Bridget Morrisey, siblings Ethan Swierczewski and Anna Swierczewski, nieces Ally and Emma Swierczewski, grandparents Bernanrd and Patricia Nowicki, and beloved partner Lauren Schutte.
