From his days at Maysville High School to his collegiate achievements at Muskingum University, Jason exemplified excellence across multiple sports.

As a wrestler, he secured three district titles and earned All-MVL honors. In baseball, his .379 batting average and 2.30 ERA led the Panthers to championships. Football saw him dominate with 107 receptions and tackles, earning All-Ohio and Times Recorder Prime Time Player recognition.

His collegiate career continued with four-year letter winnerships in baseball and football, including All-OAC honors and the Roy "Red" Turner Strive for Excellence Award.

Professionally, Gatewood was drafted by the Springfield Capitals in the Frontier League's second round, bringing his talent to new heights.
