Stephen Hood, a 20-year-old from Lansford, Pennsylvania, tragically died in a car accident on December 23, 2026. The incident happened at 10:51 a.m. on Route 209 near Panther Valley High School when his vehicle skidded on black ice and collided with a utility pole.

Despite immediate medical attention at St. Luke’s Miners Campus, he succumbed to his injuries.
