Remembering Robert T. Berkey: A Lifelong Community Pillar and Skilled Craftsman

Honoring the memory of Robert T. Berkey, who passed away at 81, leaving behind a profound legacy of love and dedication.

Robert was a cherished husband to Patricia H. Berkey and a proud father to Jessica and Robert C. Berkey Sr., along with being a loving grandfather and great-grandfather.

Born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, he attended Spring-Ford High School before pursuing carpentry at Williamson Trade School. His career included service in the National Guard and a successful tenure as a carpenter at Schappell & Hampton.

Beyond his professional achievements, Robert found joy in gardening, fishing with his children, and supporting local sports teams like the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

His commitment to community shone through as Fire Police Captain for Linfield Fire Company and as the town's first Jr. Firefighter. He is survived by his siblings and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on September 4, 2026, at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles R. O'Hara presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for St. Joseph R.C. Church.

Robert's passing marks the end of an era, but his spirit lives on in every life he touched.
