At 80 years old, Pearce left behind a legacy of dedication and service, having spent his life nurturing young talent and guiding future leaders.

Born in San Saba, Texas, Pearce's journey began with academic excellence, earning his degree from Baylor University before embarking on a career that would span decades of athletic and educational contributions.

His coaching career took root in Fort Stockton, where he led the football team to multiple victories and set the stage for a lifetime of mentorship.

Pearce's commitment extended beyond the field; he served as athletic director at Austin High School and later as a dedicated assistant coach and trainer at Breckenridge High School.

Over nearly five decades, he held various roles within BISD, including Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, earning recognition for his leadership and championship-winning strategies.

Even in retirement, Pearce remained an integral part of the Breckenridge community, offering his expertise as a consultant and continuing to inspire those around him.

His personal life was equally rich, marked by a 56-year marriage to his wife, Teeny, and the upbringing of their son, Casey, who now follows in his father's footsteps as the current head football coach.
