Patrick C. Lucey, affectionately called “Pat” or “Luce,” departed this world on September 2, 2026, at age 33.

Surrounded by loved ones, he left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Born November 13, 1991, in Wakefield, Patrick spent his early years in Methuen, Massachusetts, forming enduring connections—including a lifelong bond with Jimmy O’Keefe from kindergarten.

Sports shaped his youth; hockey and baseball were staples, though a near-drowning incident later made him wary of water. Yet his passion for seafood endured, nurtured through years at New England Seafood in Methuen, where he discovered sushi’s charm.

Patrick’s spirit thrived in Boston’s sports culture; debates flowed freely, and autumn’s crisp air meant endless football chatter and fantasy drafts with pals.

Professionally, he excelled at Fitzgerald Tile in North Reading, earning respect through camaraderie and dedication.

Colleagues recall his warmth, humor, and unwavering commitment—a true team player.

Described as genuine and kind, Patrick greeted each day with “hello, hello,” igniting smiles wherever he went. His absence creates an irreplaceable void.

Predeceased by father Patrick Lucey, he survives his mother Ranie Melanson, sister Jessica Lucey, grandparents Donna and Roger Melanson, plus countless extended family and friends, including his cherished “Counsel of Fellas.”

A graveside service occurs Wednesday, September 10, 11:00 a.m., at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Post-service, a celebration of life unfolds at Bellino’s Trattoria.

Arrangements entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
