Kim Sellers, a proud Bremen, Indiana native and former collegiate multi-athlete, tragically passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 56, leaving behind a legacy of inspiration and a family deeply affected by her absence.
Her battle with cancer, which lasted seven years, ended at her home in Wakarusa, Indiana, leaving an indelible mark on her community.
Born on January 10, 1969, in Bremen, Indiana, to Robert and Sue Hickman, Kim demonstrated extraordinary athletic talent early on, excelling across multiple disciplines.
At Bremen High School, she shone as a standout in volleyball, basketball, and tennis, later earning induction into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame upon graduation in 1987.
Her athletic prowess continued at Huntington University, where she thrived in basketball, tennis, and softball, representing the Foresters with distinction.
Graduating with a Bachelor's in Education in 1991, Kim was honored again in the Huntington University Athletic Hall of Fame for her four-year excellence.
Though she didn't pursue a professional sports career, her impact as an educator remained profound.
Kim dedicated years to teaching fourth grade in Bremen Public Schools before relocating to Wakarusa with her family.
Her passing has created an irreplaceable void for her loved ones and community members.

Norm Sellers, Kim's steadfast partner for 31 years until his passing, shared a life filled with love and shared athletic passions.
The couple married in 1994 and raised their three sons together, each carrying forward their parents' values of hard work and dedication.
Norm, a former athlete himself, has served as Athletic Director at Northwood High School since 2004, overseeing numerous programs. His own athletic background mirrors Kim's, fostering a household where sports and education intertwined seamlessly.
Their sons followed suit, with Trent leading operations at Viaggio Pontoon Boats, Chad contributing to sports administration at DePauw University, and Kyle pursuing studies at Purdue University.
Beyond her immediate family, Kim is remembered fondly by her daughter-in-law Alexis Houk, son's wife Kylie Sellers, brother Dr. Kevin Hickman, and nephews Dawson, Camden, and Maddux Hickman.
Kim's journey was preceded by the loss of her parents, Robert and Sue Hickman.
Family and friends have arranged a memorial service at Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel on September 2nd and 3rd, 2026.
