Former player and Marketing manager Rachel Canaday passed away in her early thirties in late November 2026, leaving her husband, Evan, and the entire community heartbroken.

Rachel Canaday graduated from Broomfield High School in 2011, excelling as a varsity softball player, cheerleader, and honor roll student. Her academic and athletic achievements paved the way for a successful career in hospitality and marketing.

At Marriott International, she served as a Marketing Coordinator, while also contributing as a Sales Coordinator at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Her educational journey continued at San Diego State University, where she earned a degree in Hotel Management between 2011 and 2016.

Born and raised in Broomfield, Colorado, Rachel later settled in Denver, building a life filled with purpose and passion. Her story reflects resilience, dedication, and the power of love.

In 2026, she married Evan, two years after exchanging vows on August 25, 2026—a union that began with a chance meeting at Sally’s during a work happy hour on January 18, 2019. Their whirlwind romance led to shared adventures across the globe, creating unbreakable bonds.

Rachel’s passing has left Evan heartbroken, yet he holds onto their memories tightly. “We traveled the world together, laughed together, and cried together for seven incredible years,” he shares. “I’m lost without you.” His words echo the depth of their connection, reminding us all of the beauty of a love that lasted a lifetime.
