The community mourns the loss of this remarkable woman, whose gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to family touched countless lives. Her passing, occurring eighteen years after her husband James Frangella’s death in 2007, marks the end of an era defined by love and resilience.
Born on January 13, 1958, Robin graduated from Shelby High School in 1976, earning the prestigious title of Snowball Queen. Beyond academics, she thrived in athletics and outdoor pursuits, finding solace in fishing and camping amidst nature’s beauty.

As a devoted mother of three—James II, Shawna Marie, and Deloris Rose—Robin embodied nurturing strength. Neighbors often affectionately called her “Mom,” reflecting her natural ability to connect with children. Her role as a grandmother was equally profound; she cherished every moment with her five grandchildren, ensuring each felt equally adored.
Robin found joy in nature’s simplicity, always ready to share a kind word with passing children. Her presence was a constant reminder of unconditional love.Her children and grandchildren describe her as the heart of their world—a force of kindness who made everyone feel seen. Even in her final days, she expressed gratitude for simple moments, writing poignant messages like: “If roses bloom in heaven, send a bouquet to my mother. Tell her I love her, and when she smiles, place a kiss on her cheek.”
Friends and family flooded the Frangella household with heartfelt tributes, praising Robin’s humility and strength. One note read: “Please keep our loved ones in your prayers—I’m here for you all.” Such connections underscored her ability to unite people through empathy.
Robin’s absence creates an irreplaceable void, yet her memory lives on in shared stories and acts of kindness inspired by her example. Her final farewell will occur on August 29, 2026, at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby.
