South Plainfield Community Mourns Loss of Beloved Sports Enthusiast Mark David Paskowitz
Mark David Paskowitz, a dedicated supporter of local athletics and a vibrant presence in Sacred Heart Church, passed away suddenly at age 29, leaving his family and community deeply sorrowful.
Known for his enthusiasm for sports, Mark actively participated in events like the Lakeview School 5K and cheered for teams such as the New York Yankees and Rutgers Basketball. His life was defined by joy, community engagement, and unwavering support for those around him.
Born in Edison, Mark grew up to become a cherished member of South Plainfield, where he balanced his love for sports with meaningful contributions to disability advocacy through the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities. His legacy extends beyond the field, touching countless lives with kindness and dedication.
Family members, including his parents Glenn Paskowitz and Cheryl Tracy, siblings Steven and Dara, and extended relatives, remember him as a source of warmth and inspiration. Though deeply saddened, they find comfort in celebrating his life and the positive impact he made.
The Paskowitz family invites loved ones to attend a visitation at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals on December 9th and a funeral service at Sacred Heart RC Church on December 10th. In lieu of flowers, donations to the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities are encouraged to honor Mark’s enduring commitment to supporting children with disabilities.
