Clayton Kellum Jr., the entrepreneurial son of fitness trainer Clayton Kellum, tragically passed away at 22 in October 2026. Details surrounding the incident remain undisclosed.

Survived by parents Clayton Sr. and Candise, along with younger twins born shortly after, Clayton Jr. left behind a profound legacy. A GoFundMe campaign was launched to support the family during this difficult period.

Father Clayton Sr. expressed his anguish publicly: I have nothing but heartache and unending tears. The unimaginable has happened—this loss has shattered me. Yet, I’m grateful for every person who’s offered love, support, and kindness, even those who never knew my son well.

The young trainer followed in his father’s footsteps at Built Fitness, a Downingtown gym that became a community cornerstone under Clayton Sr.’s leadership. Clayton Jr. actively assisted members, embodying his father’s dedication to fitness and camaraderie.

In 2026, Built Fitness gained local recognition for its resilience through pandemic challenges. Clayton Jr. worked closely with trainers Brandon Smith and Tyrone Butler, strengthening the gym’s reputation as a safe, motivating space.

His father, a former All-American athlete who overcame incarceration, often celebrated Clayton Jr.’s commitment to the business—a testament to redemption and perseverance.

Tragedy struck suddenly when Clayton Jr. passed away unexpectedly. Memorial plans include a lantern release this Thursday, October 16th, at 7:15 p.m.

Clayton Sr. invites everyone to honor his son’s memory: All are welcome to celebrate Clayton’s life, embrace family, and cherish moments together. Share this tribute widely.

Prayers are extended to the Kellum family during this painful time.

Rest in Heavenly Peace, Clayton Kellum Jr.
