A cherished son, devoted father, and treasured friend, Joshua Gerard Cardiello from Buford, Georgia, departed on January 5, 2026, at 30 years old.
Reports indicate he experienced sudden cardiac arrest during a morning basketball session.
In a cruel twist of fate, Josh's death occurred 4.5 years after his younger brother Jacob 'Jake' Allen Cardiello also died from cardiac arrest.
His passing has created an irreplaceable void for his loved ones, including his wife Allison Frazier Cardiello and daughter Amelia.
Joshua and Allison married on April 29, 2026, and welcomed their daughter Amelia earlier that year.
Allison shared her anguish publicly, stating: "On Monday at 6:25 a.m., holding my best friend's hand as an ER doctor announced his passing, I'm overwhelmed—numb, heartbroken, furious, and struggling to accept reality. Losing Josh has been the most devastating experience imaginable, and my focus remains on ensuring Amelia's future."
She expressed gratitude to those offering support through prayers, meals, and assistance during this unimaginable time.
