The city of Janesville is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Kase Harry, a promising 14-year-old student and athlete whose life was tragically cut short in a bicycle accident on July 1st.

Kase, who was preparing to begin his freshman year at Craig High School, died following a crash involving a City of Janesville trash and recycling truck at the intersection of Milton Avenue and East Memorial Drive.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 10:20 a.m., performing lifesaving measures, but sadly, Kase was pronounced dead on site.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and the crash is now under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Kase Harry Was A Rising Star With A Heart Of Gold

Kase Harry was a vibrant, determined, and passionate boy known for his love of football, his genuine kindness, and his contagious energy.

A player for Janesville Youth Football, he had already made a name for himself among teammates and coaches alike.

The School District of Janesville released a statement mourning his loss:

“For those of you who knew Kase, we ask that you remember his curiosity, kindness, and genuine love of football… We share the tremendous sadness felt by his family and friends.”

GoFundMe Has Been Organized To Help The Parents In A Tough Time

Described by those close to him as full of life, energetic, and driven, Kase was following in the footsteps of his father, Chris Harry, a respected coach, friend, and military veteran.

A touching message on the family’s GoFundMe reads:

“Chris Harry lost his son way too soon… Kase was full of life, energetic, and following his dad’s footsteps to becoming a man. If you can help bring some of that light back by supporting this family, it would mean everything.”

The fundraiser has already raised over $9,000 of its $14,000 goal, a testament to the deep love the community holds for Kase and his family.

The loss of a child is a pain no family should ever endure, but in the wake of this tragedy, Janesville has come together in unity, remembrance, and compassion.

Kase Harry may no longer be physically present, but the impression he left on those who knew him will last forever.

As one tribute put it best:

“Rest peacefully, Kase. You will never be forgotten.”
