Walter (Paco) Rothe III, 73, of Green Bay, passed away on September 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.
He devoted his life to family, community, and passions like sports, theater, and woodworking.
Born August 25, 1952, to Walter Rothe Jr. and Linda Garza Rothe, Wally grew up immersed in Green Bay’s culture.
Graduating from Green Bay East High School in 1971, he quickly became a pillar of the community.
His contributions to local theater and athletics left an indelible mark on the area.
At the Green Bay Community Theater, he shared his passion for performance and teamwork.
As a softball umpire and coach, he fostered connections across generations.
Playing for teams like the 616 Club, he mentored young athletes with patience and enthusiasm.
His furniture business, A Bedder Morning, reflected his craftsmanship and pride.
Wally cherished fishing, cheering for the Packers, and Brewers, finding joy in simple pleasures.
Family remains central to his story—survived by son Walter IV and granddaughter Faith.
His siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family grieve his absence deeply.
Preceded by parents, daughter Becky, uncle Chuck, niece Autumn, and nephew Steven.
No formal services will be held; a celebration of life will follow, uniting those who knew him.
The community thanks Bellin Hospital’s Cardiac Unit and Unity Hospice for their care.
Walter’s memory endures through the lives he enriched and the bonds he strengthened.
