Former Amarillo High School soccer star and dedicated coach William Todd Addington has departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of passion and service. The 60-year-old passed away peacefully on November 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in 1965, Todd’s journey began with early soccer experiences through Kids, Inc., eventually leading him to become a cornerstone of Amarillo High School’s inaugural UIL soccer program. His athletic spirit extended beyond the field, as he remained deeply committed to coaching and mentoring youth.

Professionally, Todd excelled in regional retail management, earning respect for his strategic vision and unwavering dedication. Off the clock, he cherished football fandom—cheering for Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech Red Raiders with infectious enthusiasm.

His marriage to Angela Browder in 2010 marked a beautiful chapter, blending their shared history with new family bonds. As parents to Justin Prince, Todd embodied the role of devoted stepfather while honoring his roots in Flower Mound before returning to Amarillo for his final years.

Anticipating his first grandchild’s arrival in February 2026, Todd’s passing has deeply affected his extended family—including Angie, Justin, Billie, Lisa, and Bill Addington. The community mourns his thoughtful generosity and quiet strength.
